Micromagnetic Simulators for the extensive study of distinct magnetic structures

mgr Anuj Dhiman

Micromagnetic simulation, an indispensible tool having a huge amount of potential in magnetism research have become a key to study physics of magnetism. Micromagnetic simulators like eg: OOMMF, magpar MuMax are widely used to solve Landau-Lifshitz equation. Our main focus would be to solve these equations for the study of Magnetization distribution and anisotropy by taking into the considerations Exchange field and other effective field terms. In the recent time apart from experimental study of antisymmetric exhange interaction simulation work has also started in systems with eg: Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and additonaly study of chiral structures, and that has become hot topic in current scenarios. There is a currently growing intersest in running numerical calculations on Graphical processing unit instead of CPUs. We would like to run Micromagnetic Simulators for the extensive study of distinct magnetic structures that would be nearly inaccessible with typical CPU based simulators.
